WP 400 ordered by Allseas

Allseas, Delft has recently ordered for the largest cable layer in the World ms "Solitaire" their 3rd Sauer WP 400 compressor. With this delivery all original compressors are replaced by this very modern water-cooled Sauer compressor.

The WP 400 is a W-form 2-stage water-cooled starting air compressor that delivers 400m3/h. The water coolers around the cylinders have been made in a way that even when they are very dirty, an unskilled mechanic can clean them very easy by removing just 1 cover. The valves are, as with every Sauer compressor, repleceable by removing the valve head with very small height.

Allseas is a worldwide operating company, basicly active in pipeline and cable laying. Some of their other ships, like "Audacia" are equipped with Sauer compressors too.
